The Father of Our Spirits (0.45х0.55m, canvas, oil, 2007) -
In Christian faith there is such a holiday as the “Day of John the Baptist’s Decapitation”. Try hard as I would, I cannot accept this day as a holiday but, observing the people who come to visit the mass in the church, I saw that their faces shone with happiness. I think that one should grieve and not rejoice.
Coming to the church on that day, in the sky I saw the vision of the Father of Our Spirits. Apparently, I suffered with all my soul for the people and for John, which became the cause of his appearance. He said: “Plant painted bean at the windows of Adam and Eve, and everything will be all right”. I did not specifically contemplate about the fact that the church was the house of Adam and Eve. But asking wise elderly ladies about that, I received the affirmative answer. I complied with what I was commanded to do. That church is situated near the Nikolskiy Bazaar. The place, where I planted beans, nowadays is an asphalt-paved flowerbed.
The picture is entitled just like that – “The Father of Our Spirits”. The dimensions of the picture are 0.45 m x 0.55 m.
The picture is sold and bears to new owners good luck in all beginnings
